YPY yachting professionals

The not-for-profit organisation is currently run by yachting professionals for yachting professionals with over 500 members aged between 21 and 40 across six key locations – UK, USA, Monaco, Netherlands, Germany and New Zealand.

Its focus is on encouraging professional development, collaboration and sharing of knowledge and opportunities via an annual calendar of both virtual and physical events.

As part of the sponsorship partnership, we will be supporting members with their career progression and providing industry insights and advice through content, webinars and keynote sessions.

Passionate about ensuring top talent on the water is not lost on land, we will also be aiding seagoing crew in their ambitious transition to shore-based roles like those held by YPY members.

Simon Foulkes, who leads our shore-based recruitment division at Quay Crew, commented: “I’m thrilled to be working alongside YPY and its members. It’s an organisation we’ve long admired, and the opportunity to collaborate with them on a series of projects and events aligns perfectly with our mission to support young people in the land-based sector of the yachting industry.

“As a business, we are very interested in innovation and building partnerships which serve current market requirements but contribute to the wider ongoing dialogue around building a better, more robust industry. I’m very excited about this partnership as I believe it can add real value to the superyacht sector.”

Abigail Davies, Community Manager at YPY UK, added: “It’s great to have such a reputable and specialist industry recruiter onboard alongside our other sponsors.

“As a non-profit organisation, funding is crucial to enable us to provide real value for our members through free and heavily subsidised resources and events.

“More importantly, Quay Crew resonates with our mission to facilitate relationship building among peers in the yachting industry and flourishing careers.”
