We pride ourselves on making crew recruitment personal and in turn making sure we build long term relationships with Yachts & Crew alike to ensure we are placing the right people into the right position. Quay Crew will be recruiting everything from Captains to Stewardesses, Engineers to Chefs and all of those other challenging positions which require unique skills and experience.

Quay Crew will be utilising industry knowledge, an excellent network of contacts and the most advanced yachting and recruitment database available to match the best candidates to the right yachts with the end result being a perfect match for both parties. We will be providing an excellent level of service to all of our clients and the crew we register, the eventual result being a great relationship with all our clients who use us exclusively when they are looking to recruit and crew who will come to us first when they are looking for a job.

Our basic ethos regarding crew is to take the time to understand exactly what a yacht is looking for in its next crew member, the existing culture of the boat and the personalities on board. Through getting a thorough understanding of this we can find the perfect crew member for you. We do this by meeting all (wherever possible) the crew we put forward for roles and assessing not only their skills and yachting experience but also their personalities and the type of work environment they will thrive in.

We are also referencing all crew before we send them to yachts to ensure they are of the best quality. If when meeting us or from their references we feel there is something lacking then we won’t be sending their CV’s to yachts. We then only send a small selection of candidates who we feel are great for this particular role.



Senior crew

With the more senior, experienced crew we are looking to provide an Executive Search model of recruitment where we will proactively hunt down the best and most suitable Captains, Chief Officers, Chief Engineers and Chief Stewardesses for a role. This involves building long term relationships with these crew, understanding their career aspirations and knowing when the right role becomes available. Unfortunately it is often the case that the best candidates for a role are already employed so you need someone who is an expert at working with the ‘passive’ market. We pride ourselves on this being Quay Crew.


New builds

Already we have worked on many new build projects and with several currently, all of which have slightly different requirements from standard crew agency recruitment. You need to be able to blend the skills, manning requirements, experience and personalities of the crew (many of whom have never met each other) to produce a high level of performance and a harmonious atmosphere on board. This takes an in depth understanding of the Captains and Owners requirements, knowledge of the crew on your database and an intuitive grasp of who will work well together.
